Bodrum Airport taxi: yellow taxis wait outside the arrivals hall at Milas-Bodrum Airport (BJV) around the clock. They are convenient, but the fare is metered, rises at night and is only known at the end. How airport taxis work at BJV
The taxi rank is directly outside the arrivals exit of the international and domestic terminals. Taxis run on the meter, with a higher tariff between midnight and 06:00. Most resorts on the Bodrum peninsula are 35–65 km from the airport, so a metered ride is a significant fare, and luggage space in a saloon is limited for families.
Drivers generally accept Turkish lira; card payment and other currencies are not guaranteed. Ask for the meter to be switched on before you set off.
Taxi or private transfer?
A private transfer costs about the same as — and for longer routes often less than — a metered taxi, but the price is fixed per vehicle when you book. The driver tracks your flight, waits in the arrivals hall with your name, and the vehicle is a spacious minivan with room for suitcases, pushchairs and golf bags. Child seats are free.
For one or two travellers with hand luggage going to Milas or Güvercinlik, a taxi is perfectly practical. For families, groups, late arrivals and anywhere on the far side of the peninsula, a pre-booked transfer is simpler and usually better value.
